Job Description

Responsibilities include developing, planning and investigating practical problems involving the full use of company products in diverse manufacturing processes to conform to customer requirements. Assist with the creation of technical reports and presentations to DENSO customers and other divisions. Prepare other engineering documentation such as BOMs, ECNs and CAD drawings, as required by engineering management.  Conducts independent analysis of operating conditions and specifications proposed and requested by customers. Communicates with sales teams and customers as needed and acts as a technical resource for the sales team. 

Job Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university and 0-3 year’s related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Electrical Engineering for automotive industry with PowerTrain experiences preferred.

  • Conducts independent analysis of operating conditions and specifications proposed and requested by customers.

  • Determines feasibility and product cost estimates from consideration of applicable policies and engineering requirements.

  • Selects appropriate testing required to evaluate products and assists with testing, as necessary.

  • Captures and reports product testing results to management and/or more senior engineers. 

  • Assists with the creation of technical reports and presentations to DENSO customers and other divisions.

  • Prepares other engineering documentation such as BOMs, ECNs and CAD drawings, as required by engineering management.

  • Participates in benchmarking activities. Collects and compiles information on competitor products and may assist with evaluation of patent-related data.

  • Possess knowledge of a variety of test benches, inspection equipment and basic hand tools.

  • Basic understanding and competency in working with computer software and mainframe applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile data.

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and other engineering software and databases.

  • Working knowledge of design engineering principles.
