Job Description

Responsibilities include coordinating sales activities with the account’s management for attainment of sales objectives for the account and territory, and keep accounts up-to-date on DENSO product lines and enhancements. Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of DENSO’s products in order to achieve sales objectives for the account and territory. Consistently communicate DENSO product lines and enhancements to assigned accounts in order to maintain and build customer relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related major accounts sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Automotive Aftermarket experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Develops, modifies and implements yearly marketing and sales plans for assigned accounts. Provides a yearly forecast for each account and provides to department and product management.

  • Organizes and monitors the activities of existing customers in order to achieve sales goals. Maintains frequent communication with customers regarding account status, any order or delivery issues, and providing information on new or redesigned products.

  • Reviews daily/monthly reports to watch for any downward trends and addresses as needed. Reports out to management on territory activity; including, but not limited to, sales forecasts, sales calls made on existing and potential customers, and future planned activity. Also monitors and reports on competitor activities and overall market conditions.

  • Increase sales, inventory turns, new numbers updates and maintain overall customer satisfaction.

  • Report to the management on all territory activity which will include obtaining forecast, sales calls made on existing and potential customers, and future activity/direction.

  • Monitors and follows up with management on any customer payment issues and ensures that payments are received according to payment terms.

  • Must be a skillful presenter that can interpret information based on a general knowledge of the organization, its products and procedures, and provide an independent explanation and discussion based on the technical or complex nature of the materials being discussed

  • Assists customers with the processing of any warranty claims.

  • Must be able to travel extensively (approximately 60%) with occasional weekend travel.
